Focussed on Nutrition

Nothing can be more important than ensuring the food we provide to young people in education helps them towards a healthy lifestyle. It is a top priority for us to deliver a healthy diet along with choice and value.

Taylor Shaw’s commitment to health and wellbeing is a vital part of our company’s approach to corporate responsibility and it goes beyond regulatory requirements. The desire to make a real contribution to healthy eating is deeply ingrained in our business, right through our operations, from training and development for our staff to the food we buy, the recipes we create and how we cook our food.

Best practice... Leading the way

We were early adopters of the Responsibility Deal as a vehicle for improving public health and we continue to work closely with government to follow voluntary industry best practice as well as ensuring adherence to legislative requirements such as School Food Standards.

Healthy Eating Sessions

We offer education workshops at our schools to raise awareness of healthy eating and help correct common misconceptions about nutrition. We're passionate about teaching kids how to fuel their bodies and minds! Our sessions for children in KS1, KS2, and KS3 use interactive activities to explore the Eatwell Guide, help them become sugar smart, and understand the powerful link between food and their feelings. We also share simple, effective tips on the best foods to eat to stay focused and energised during exam time.
